ABOUT
At Kaleidoscope our mission is to give independent artists the exposure and support they need to do great work. We showcase finished projects, help secure funding for future projects, and host events around the world that explore the art, science, and business of virtual reality.
In 2015 Kaleidoscope produced the first Virtual Reality Film Festival earning coverage in top publications such as The New York Times, LA Times, and VICE. Partnering with Wired magazine and Wevr Transport, Kaleidoscope has since produced more than 20 high-profile events, in 5 continents, for over 10,000 attendees.
Projects discovered by Kaleidoscope routinely go on to screen at major festivals such as Sundance, Tribeca, and Cannes, and the artists in our community are widely recognized as some of the most innovative voices in virtual reality today.

RENÉ PINNELL
CEO & Co-founder
As a filmmaker & designer, René produced the acclaimed comedy show Backpack Picnic, directed the feature documentary The King of Texas, sold a TV pilot to MTV, designed 5 products & founded 2 companies.
MICHAEL BREYMANN
CTO & Co-founder
Michael is a 3D artist who spent the last 6 years at Industrial Light & Magic creating CG environments and FX for feature films. As the founder of Glyph Software, he developed photogrammetry software for mattepainters that is now in use at visual effects studios around the world.
SELENA PINNELL
Creative Director
Selena is the Creative Director of the Kaleidoscope Festival. She has an extensive background in fashion and design working with clients such as BMW and Erik Hart from Hart + Lëshkina. "I strive to create virtual reality events that inspire, are sophisticated and bring artists together in a unique environment."
JILL KLEKAS
Producer
Jill is the Producer for the Kaleidoscope Festival. She has ten years of experience in film and television production. Before exploring virtual reality she worked on Kasdan Pictures and Disney Channel Original Movies. "I love the wild west feel of virtual reality as a re-emerging art."
