After losing his sight in 1983, John Hull began recording an audio-diary documenting his discovery of “a world beyond sight.” John’s original recordings form the basis of this interactive experience, which uses real time 3D, virtual reality, and binaural sound to explore the interior world of blindness. Coming summer 2016 on all VR devices. #NotesOnBlindness

Sheffield Doc/Fest and Curzon Artificial Eye are thrilled to announce a tour across the UK of both the feature film Notes on Blindness as well as the virtual reality experience Notes on Blindness: Into Darkness. From June 24th, this innovative project will for the first time release a virtual reality work in to cinema venues alongside a theatrical film.

After completing a Masters in Acoustics and Signal Processing at IRCAM in Paris, Amaury La Burthe worked as researcher for Sony-CSL and as lead audio designer for video game company Ubisoft.

Arnaud Colinart is a Producer at AGAT Films & Cie / EX NIHILO. He is particularly interested in applying new technologies and interactive mechanisms in the conception of narrative works, whether documentary or fiction.
