THE FUTURE OF VR is an interactive interview capsule that takes you through the history of the technology as well as a glimpse of its possible future in a 360° Esher-like space. Interview subjects include Paul Raphael (Co-Founder of Felix & Paul Studios), Marc Bolas (Director for Mixed Reality Research, USC Institute for Creative Technologies), Eric Joris (Artistic Director for Crew), Kern Perlin (Professor of Computer Science, NYU Media Research Lab), John Root (Co-Founder Magic Leap), Mona Hamdy (Project Lead, Worldbuilding Institute), and Cory Strassburger (Co-Founder of Kite & Lightning).

ARTIST BIO
PHILIPP WENNING
Based in Germany, Philipp studied directing for film and television and editing. For the last few years he has been working on experimental, omnidirectional moving image content with different technologies in different contexts. His recent projects include the first 180° narrative scifi film The Imagonaut, which had its premiere during the 2014 Berlinale International film festival, the development and direction for Future of VR, and building up the 360° content production company INVR.SPACE in Berlin, Germany.
